Almond Milk Chocolate Mousse

Servings 4-6


2 ripe avocados, roughly chopped
½ cup cacao powder
½ cup almond milk
3 tbsp maple syrup or honey (adjust to taste)
½ tsp vanilla extract
½ tsp cinnamon
Your choice** of chopped toasted almonds, fresh raspberries, cocoa nibs, toasted coconut, to serve

Use any topping you like – blueberries, strawberries, dollop of Greek yoghurt, chia seeds, pepitas, sunflower seeds, orange zest, orange segments, mint sprigs etc.


In a food processor or blender, puree the avocado until smooth. Add the cacao powder and almond milk, maple syrup, vanilla and cinnamon and blend until smooth.

Spoon the mousse into individual glasses and refrigerate until ready to eat.

To serve, top mousse with your choice of toasted almonds, fresh raspberries, cocoa nibs and toasted coconut.
