I’m often asked how I came to do what I do, and I guess it all comes down to my lifelong obsession with cooking. Growing and gathering ingredients, merging flavours and plating a meal to make it look as good as it tastes has always been my favourite pastime. There’s so much beauty in simple, honest food - colours, tastes, textures, smells, how it grew, the origin. I adore it all! Julia Childs was onto something when she said, “find something you're passionate about and keep tremendously interested in it.”
Home cooking has led me to achieve some pretty wonderful things i.e. a degree in nutrition, placing runner-up on MasterChef Australia, writing for national publications, cooking onstage, running workshops and partnering with some amazing brands. It’s allowed me to expand my creativity to learn new skills and build the career I have today. But at the heart of everything I do, I’m motivated to expand and inspire people’s food knowledge, increase their kitchen confidence and to put it simply, cook more!
